Former Tigania Member of Parliament Josphat Mwirabua Gichunge has pleaded not guilty to a Sh 28,130,000 land fraud case after allegedly defrauding dozens of people seeking to purchase land.
Gichunge, also the Ex-chairman of the Anti-Counterfeit Authority is accused of defrauding the victims between 730,000 and 2.2 million for purchase pf plots of land complete with a greenhouses.
It is alleged that the former MP committed the offenses on diverse dates between 2016 and 2018 at Ansha Plaza along Biashara Street in Nairobi.
He denied the charges before Principal Magistrate Paul Mutai.
He will remain in custody untill 18th June 2026 when he appears before the Anti-Corruption court after a warrant of arrest was issued.
