Former Tigania East Member of Parliament Josphat Mwirabu Gichunge has been charged again with Sh 23 million land fraud.

Gichunge is accused of defrauding more than 12 people between Sh 1 million to Sh 10 million for purchase of plots of land with complete greenhouses.

It is alleged that the offenses were committed between February and June 2017 at Ansh Plaza in Nairobi CBD.

He denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina.

The prosecution did not oppose his release on bail in this matter. However, the court was informed that he has a warrant of arrest against him after jumping bail an anti-corruption case.

The magistrate declined to be grant him bail or bond terms until the other matter is mentioned on 18th June 2026. This case will be mentioned on 19th June 2026 for directions.
