A businessman has been charged with forging a certificate of title for two pieces of land valued at Sh 300 million.
Abdirahman Muhumud Abdi alias Abdi is accused of fraudulently amalgamating the two pieces of land LR. No. 209/10848 and LR. No 209/10849 measuring 0.8000 hectares which gave rise to LR. No 209/16790, property belonging to Pansiba Limited.
Abdi is said to have purported the certificate to be a genuine Certificate of Title issued by the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning, a fact he knew to be false.
It is alleged that the offence was committed on unknown date and place within the Republic of Kenya, jointly with others not before court, with intent to defraud Pansiba Limited.
The accused person is also charged with another count of forgery and making false documents.
Abdi is alleged to have made a Provisional Approval dated 4th April 2006 from the Ministry of Lands, purporting it to be a genuine approval issued by the Ministry of Lands, a fact he knew to be false.
He is also accused of making made a P.P.A.2 document dated 10th March 2006 from the City County of Nairobi, purporting it to be a genuine and issued by the City County.
He denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina and was granted a bond of Sh 3 million.
